Haven't the award's shows proven that the public does not want to hear about hot button subjects in their entertainment? The country is split very close to equally, with their interests in certain subjects, so about half of your watching audience is uncomfortable with those certain subjects. Watching an episode of Bull is not going to change any minds, it just makes them want to change the channel. Look back at the successful programing of 15 years ago and they just didn't broach controversial topics in their series'. Bull has been a favorite of mine since its inception and I don't want it to go the way of most, with a lifespan of about 5 seasons, but it's headed that way.
