One of the worst ICarly episode ever!
jazzymurray984 November 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Carly is shown to be super shallow and incredibly judgemental towards Griffin for an idiotic reason. She was all over Griffin in the first part for no reason. There was no build up to Spencer liking Griffin enough to let Carly date him. Carly openly states that she only likes Griffin because he's a stereotypical bad boy with scars and how he's basically a male version of Sam. Then the second part when she learns about his hobby of collecting stuffed animals she's immediately turned off and treats him like he's a traitor to her and his character. What makes this episode annoying is throughout the whole second part she's never treated as in the wrong for mocking him for his hobby. To top it all off when Griffin rightfully tells Carly that if she can't accept his hobby then maybe they should break up the show still makes him look like he's the bad guy for not liking Carly for insulting his hobby. Also apparently Carly and her friends are so normal that this one guy's toy collection is a sin against nature. It's like this show is teaching young boys that if they collect girly things, then they deserve to be poked fun of and deserve to be single and ostracized forever. Overall it's an unnecessary two-part episode with a horrible moral, and the fact that there are so many people who found this episode funny scares me. Do not watch this piece of trash.

The worst iCarly episode
Laurenosaur22 June 2023
I do understand that this episode was made over a decade ago, so maybe this qualifies as one of those "didn't age well" cases but I truly don't think so. Even a decade ago we understood that things like toys aren't exclusively for just boys or girls. This episode is full of sexist problems. Carly is just being a mean bully, and we as the viewers are supposed to not only be okay with, but support her? And to air this after the episode where it's basically the exact same just reversed... tough girl Sam becomes more "girly" to get the guy, but at the end of the episode it's shown that it's okay to be tough AND a girl, that she doesn't have to fall into those stereotypical gender roles to find love... so it's okay to be a tough girl (when it's a main character) but it's not okay to be a guy who has a "girly" hobby (when it's a one episode background character). Make it make sense!
