Bit of a comedown after the packed recent episodes with not a lot going on and characters and story lines just repeating past successes. Paul and Rebecca having yet another ill-fated reunion is just tired and dreary.Cassandra...was always tired and dreary, although Elle locking her in the laundry cupboard is a brilliant moment, as is Andrew giving her short shrift.Exactly what time is it meant to be when Rebecca leaves Paul's anyway, given that Cassandra's already had time to go down to the coffee shop and meet Andrew?
Karl and Susan only seem to be in this episode to let us know that they do actually have an opinion on events.And to provide yet more evidence that middle-aged people having sex isn't as funny as the writers think it is.It's a shame that Ringo and Donna's relationship seems to have disintegrated since they, along with Elle and Lucas, are one of the few decent relationships on the show.Having said that, there is a surprising amount of chemistry between Zeke and Donna given that they've had very little to do with each other in the past.A relationship between them might not be that bad a thing and certainly a friendship between them is a nice prospect.Him standing up for her with Elle and Ringo and easily overpowering Ringo when he tries to get macho is very satisfying.
