Mr. Majeika is thrilled to be a scoutmaster on an outing with the school to the local "haunted" wood. The children are all in smart traditional cub scout uniforms and Mr. Majeika himself looks committed to the cause in his hat and woggle! Hamish Bigmore turns up late in his Rolls Royce determined to ensure his flash bicycle is leading the pack of cubs as they cycle to camp. The charm of this series is in its nostalgia for a simpler way of life when children dressed and behaved like children and everyone's idea of fun was much less cynical and uncomplicated. The ghostly plot is fun and not too scary!
