And.... We're Back
Gislef2 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
After one week of Titan members other than Dick and his Amazing Friends, we're back to the Gotham Adventures. And... the people of Gotham must be the stupidest people on Earth. Here's Crane who terrorizes the city on a regular basis, announcing that the Titans are the bad guys for unleashing the type of hallucinogenic that Crane uses. And the vast majority of the citizens fall for it. Wouldn't they at least think Crane was in cahoots with the Titans, and he's betraying his partners? Why do they so readily accept what Crane claims?

Not to mention those crime lords who were there when Red Hood attacked them. Didn't any of them take video? Why is Crane the only one who can manipulate the media? One video of Red Hood working with the mob bosses, and Red Hood is no longer Gotham's new hero.

The opening sequence is a bit odd. So Dick broke into his old hospital room to... what? Confirm that what he saw was a hallucination? Couldn't he figure that out without going there, or did he realty think eye chart letters turn into bats?

Maybe it's part of the production staff's obsession with bats. And Bats. Are they ever going to explains _why_ Dick is hallucinating a bat? Nah, let's just have a rehash of Dick's hallucination about a bat. And Gar in the Batcave smiling as bats swarm him? What's that about?\

Good thing is we get more of the Titans other than Dick. Donna makes her way back to Gotham, although she has to deal with Lydia, who seems a bit like... Bruce. And what happened after last week's finale? Donna rescues Bruce, and then... takes off from him? Maybe if she had stuck around Themyscira, she could have gotten a ride with Rachel, who doesn't seem to have any trouble dealing with old Amazon women or getting into Gotham. Last week wasn't Lydia interested with Rachel? How does Lydia know Rachel didn't bring Donna back, or Rachel's powers should be explored? I guess rebuilding the statue was enough for Rachel to get the a-ok.

Superboy and Beast Boy still have something to do. Although the lack of defined power level on Superboy is still irritating. He has superspeed, heat vision, and invulnerability. But still seems to have problems with crazed civilians. Would Superman have these kinds of issues?

The Starfire/Blackfire thing is good, although I'm sympathizing more with Blackfire. She got your powers, Kory, and didn't fry you on the spot or even indulge in some villainous gloating. I'd consider that a sign of Blackfire's good intentions. Damaris Lewis also wins because she's about the best thespian on the show and the writers give her some personality. For all the Titans' talk about family, I'm... still not seeing it. And without that, they've got no reason to hang around.

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. What do you think?

SPOILERS This makes no sense
AutumnFroste6 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
As Commissioner, Babs standing orders were for the cops stay in line and peacefully take the Titans in and they didn't listen, so the 1 cop goes to shoot at Dick and Connor which Babs told to stand down. She is within her legal right to shoot him.

Does no one who writes for tv know standard police SOP. I'm sure I.have my copy somewhere they can borrow.

(Wrote this with a migraine, plz forgive errors)

Don't Know Why I'm Still Watching This
MamadNobari971 October 2021
The show has become so boring in this season and the only interesting characters (Hawk and Dove) are gone and we're stuck with whatever Blackfire is.

The writing is bad and it seems like it gets worse each episode.

Crane seems like still can do anything he wants and no one can stop him. Jason is also a brainless dummy who does whatever daddy Crane tells him to. 10 episodes in and we have Jason who have regretted his doings and wants to go back to Titans and suddenly decides he doesn't want to in the next one. It's just bad writing all the way.

Crane is also one of the worst and most annoying characters I've seen, who thought it was a good idea to have him as the main villain this season?

I'm done with this show, I will only watch the next 3 episodes because I've come this far so might as well finish it, but I hope this is the last season of this show. Doesn't matter actually because I won't watch anymore of this show anyway.

The writers only seem to have a vague clue of some dots they want to hit
gwrugger2 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
But barely put effort into the lines to connect them. One video from a known criminal blaming Nightwing and everyone believes he's the villain? I know there's a leak over Barbara's desk but is that seriously enough to poison the whole department? Connor goes all macho with someone looking at Blackfire cross eyed? Jason can't decide if he's with Crane or not? Lydia wasted time in a season that has given us too much of 1 or two Titans and not enough with the team.

At least we got some super power usage, but if they were going to spend what is apparently limited money on Gar's shape shifting it would have been nice if it was something other than him running away.

Cool Raven appearance - hopefully it wasn't just a hallucination. And doesn't Donna have super speed?

I feel like the series could have been something amazing but it was lost on mediocre writing. How did that happen?

Troubled Water puts us back in Gotham City for an episode focused on action and the characters whilst moving the plot forward, a great episode
Holt34430 September 2021
"Troubled Water" follows the aftermath of the previous two episodes with Tim Drake and Donna Troy getting out of the afterlife and are resurrected, but also the big storyline with Jonathan Crane successfully placing his fear toxin in the water supply. Episode 3.10 has Jonathan Crane manipulating Gotham's citizens against the Titans through a video that frames them for the toxin outbreak and Red Hood as the city's new hero. To help the police maintain the trust of the public, Dick has the team turn themselves in. Melissa Brides penned the script for this episode and I found it to be quite great, no real flaws. It wasn't the strongest writing of the third season but it was great. Regarding the pacing, it was great and was nicely edited with good transitions.

Larnell Stovall returns to direct another episode, fantastic work done by him. There were also some truly amazing cinematography. The whole episode looked fantastic as the show usually does. Production and art design were great, the musical score was epic and simply brilliant. There's so much to love about this episode, the story its telling and the characters who are in the episode. Having Donna and Rachel back in the show is amazing and seeing them moving to Gotham makes for an upcoming reunion, the writing for Donna Troy was brilliant and I just got a feeling that they'll finally do the character justice. The acting was like always, pretty great. But there weren't anyone that really stood out. Instead, I'll write about the fighting choreography Conor Leslie had to do as Donna Troy. Each Titan member had their time to shine, using different abilities and well... It looked super cool and was shot brilliantly.

"Troubled Water" was overall a great episode, screen time was given to protagonists and antagonists, both storylines was interesting to follow. The episode is more focused with action sequences showing the superhero powers than the the previous more slower paced episode, it's appreciated as I really like these heroes. But the action is there for a reason, to move the plot forward and it does that fantastically. It's only three episodes left and thus I wonder, how will they tie this up. It feels like they're building up to an event inspired by No Man's Land, with what's going on in this episode as it continues episode eight with the fear toxin was spread in the water supply.

Finally!!!!!
brianearley2530 September 2021
Finally some action. I'm loyal to the show, but man it was getting slow. This is the best episode of the season by far. Just enough action to get me back hooked.

Titans vs humans!
cjonesas9 February 2022
Episode 10: One of the best episodes of the season IMO. The flow is more than OK, there are emotions, interesting actions, but unfortunately still suffering from islands of plots, almost not rendering any service to the season.

What mostly lacks is channeled serious plots and actions. Also, the absence or minimum decisive screen time of Rachel and her powers weakens Titans to the core as shown since the beginning of the season.

The matter is that I do not want to see Titans' lame arcs; what I'd like to see is their unity in realistic active situations, while seriously using their powers.

To all the haters....
darmal5-16 October 2021
If anyone ever read the original Titans books (not you Go Titans! Weebs!) you have forgotten that the action was cool but the interpersonal stuff was boring-ish (sorry Marv Wolfman) but it was.... We only remember the fights.... The book/ characters have persevered BECAUSE of these boring character arcs and the love we gave to them.... Slow and insidious we remember and love them never quite knowing why.... Here's the why-on screen and time consuming.... Sorry your adhd prevents you from understanding true narrative!

Becoming tiresome
ivannano2 October 2021
The 3rd season should have been 6, maybe 8 episodes tops. Dragging a thin story out to 13 episodes makes no sense. So either bring in better writers or stop stretching things out to some artificial # of episodes. Take a page from British tv. To tell a story, they present however many episodes it takes.

LOVE!
parismya12310 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
It was a little rocky in the beginning & started to feel dragged out, but during the fight scene between the police and the titans it got interesting. I love how once black-fire got shot they all went crazy. Probably one of my fav episodes out of this season!

good!
carlos-8528210 April 2022
One thing about the titans is that the action scenes at least for me, never miss. As for the plot-lines sometimes it gets hard to follow, but that's okay. Superboy will always be my favorite character. Loved how when he got angry he went off on the police!

The show get worse
nickhaddenwanderer1 October 2021
Aside from episodes 3 and 9, the script and plot look very abrupt, as does Conner's relationship with Blackfire. We see the same fight between 4-5 Titans in different locations against a bunch of homeless people. This makes the fight scenes worthless. The line of Donna, Rachel and Tim Drake clings this season, the rest leaves much to be desired, especially Brenton Thwaites asleep in the frame and Jason's story arc flushed down the toilet. I'm not sure that when the entire team of Titans comes together in the season finale, we will see more than a street brawl. Considering that HBO took on the project, I'm disappointed with where they took the series and that they didn't invest enough money to unleash the show's full potential.

Desperate
vkopuzoglu-1711230 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand how they managed to make one good episode(3X09) and mess up the rest throughout the season.

Don't distract Donna in vain, as if it would change anything, useless lines. When trying to heal the bullet in the abdominal cavity, the withdrawal of power and stuff was so absurd that it was as if you were pulling the fruit at the bottom of the glass with a straw. Oh my god, isn't someone controlling this show, what are you doing, are people naive, they don't want to be fooled by such nonsense?

There is only one character in this series that I hate the most and that is the brainless teenager of God called Jason. How can a person be so brainless?

OK for 10-year olds (except for the language)
michielkromhout27 December 2021
This really is getting worse by the episode in every way. How did Troy manifest in Wayne castle? Why isn't Superboy able to use his powers for longer than 1 second? Who cast Jason - were they impressed with his amazing evil-scowly-face? Why did those percentages and numbers and whatnot not lead to immediate water flushing to the ocean?

How did that actor playing Crane (with good style imho) manage to find a role even more annoying than Pete in Mad Men?

Questions, questions...

Anyway, I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 because of the wanted poster for Krypto and that woman giving it the finger..

Meh
Riddler9115 October 2021
Very middle of the line episode, I've seen worse this season but there were some better ones too. It's kinda sad that there are people here who rate it with 10 just to "silence the haters". That's not how it works. If you like the show, good for you, if you don't, just accept that others (aka most) people don't, even if they would actually want to like it.
