An intense slice of noir with a wicked sensibility.

Warning: Spoilers
(minor spoilers) Aaron Mitchell has murdered his girlfriend. With sociopathic glee he explains the murder to his wife as something he did for their marriage. Then he sets about involving her in the cover-up. Watching the story come alive I was drawn in by the characters' dilemmas. The production was made on the cheap, mostly taking place in a single small apartment. The claustrophobic setting helped add to the tension. The direction is imaginative within the confines of space and budget. The piece at times seemed overwritten, some sort of attempt at a throwback to the time of Odets and this conflicted with the hyperrealism.
