I just wasted my time watching this POS garbage - AVOID !
Sean_Biggins6 December 2021
Don't bother with this at all. The people who gave it high marks must be relatives or something. The entire budget must have been about $1,500 for some foam to make the monster suit and a few cans of green spray paint. Honestly man, it's THAT bad, and it's not funny or campy or witty or ANYTHING like that - it's just plain stupid and a total waste of time.

Absolutly Not Worth Your Time!

I enjoy B-Movies, Indies, Project Movies, and Low Budget Style Horror.

There are a ton of great ones out there that have up and comers or just for fun type actors, directors, projects, and cool scripts. The ones that I enjoy might have a low budget but the actors or story will carry it. This was none of those things! It was not clever.....Nor did it have any type of good acting. It was just terrible. Its like they didn't even try to make a decent film.

I have seen high school kids with a handy just cam blow this garbage out of the water. The writing was not good and the actors were horrible! My guess is the geriatric thug had something to do with the funding or directing. His roll seemed very forced and not believable at all! It seems to me like he placed himself in a main roll that didn't fit. Him being the king-pin/thug was not believable at all.

When I give bad reviews. I usually try to come up with some kind of positives. I truly did not find one positive in this movie to even talk about. I have seen school plays with more interesting dialog and acting. Do yourself a favor and skip this for just about anything else!

Fun Throwback !
guestar5713 November 2013
Stars: Liesel Hanson and Galen Howard. Write & Directed By: Darin Wood. Fun and scary go together ?,In 'MONSTER…' they do. There is a throwback look to this film reminds one of the the BEACH movies we had as '60s ruled. Trash Film Orgy and Christy Savage bring us these jewels of film appreciation and then and music & gore…LOL ! The lead anti-hero is a detective that is corrupt and not likable,Well he does have good taste in women…But,That's all folks. The monster is very cool in appearance and practical to the art of being capable of eating as much of a human body as It needs to snack on, This is always one of those GEEK- issues with realism even in a hokey, silly monster film… Can the monster really devour half naked bimbos on the beach, In this instance,Absolutely ! So, With all these CGI 'MEGA' monsters floating around REDBOX and NETFLIX, Can MONSTER FROM BIKINI BEACH hold it's own, Just on the 'dying naked girls' quotient …YES !

For hardcore trash fans only

To appreciate a film like this, you have be a huge fan of schlock films. This is an acquired taste no doubt. When I was first getting into B movies, I saw part of this movie and didn't really appreciate it. Now, I just watched again and really enjoyed it. So trashy, so funny, and so fun.

I gotta say, I love the costume that they used for the creature. It may not be realistic at all, but it sure is a clever design.

The acting feels SO forced, which is part of why it's fun. You can hardly call the special effects "special" because they are so obviously done with very cheap props. The story line is the bare minimum of what you could even call a story, and it's edited together like a video you could make by yourself.

I wouldn't recommend this as a first schlock film, or to anyone that doesn't definitely have a taste for them. First, go watch Piranha, Eight Legged Freaks, Anaconda, Snakes on a Plane, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, TerrorVision, Sharktopus and Sharknado, and if you love all of these films, you just might have acquired enough of a taste to enjoy this movie. I know I did.

THAT THAR IS A REAL LIVE DEAD BODY
nogodnomasters20 May 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This feature is a campy romp. The description on the reverse of the DVD leads one to believe the film contains outtakes from older films. That is not the case. The coastal town of Camaroville is plagued by a campy sea monster who does Troma style killings and has an insatiable appetite for bra tops. The cast includes a detective who works for the mob and a newswoman with skin issues who needs to shower. About halfway through the film a Randy Quaid type noodler is introduced. He says about his craft, "Some call it foolish, others call it plain stupid." His niece is a combination of country goof and rocket scientist.

The film is low budget and campy. What makes a film such as this enjoyable outside of the topless women is the dialogue. In that regard the writers did a good job in creating puns, you just have to listen up.

"Monsters are for reels."

Parental Guide: ample nudity, f-bomb, no sex. Some full frontal nudity on background centerfolds.
