This is an installment of "The Public Defender"...a series starring Reed Hadley where he plays practically the same character he did in "Racket Squad". In fact, both shows are virtually identical and were made by the Hal Roach Studio. So, when "Racket Squad" ended its run, the series then changed a tiny bit and became "The Public Defender".
The episode finds a young man accused of robbery. He readily admits doing the crime but won't elaborate further. However, the family priest cannot believe it...this behavior is unlike the young man. So Bart Mathews digs deeper...and learns that the guy has a rather unsavory brother who he apparently is trying to defend.
This is a decent if otherwise unremarkable episode. While the story is hard to believe, it's engaging and worth seeing.
