This film cured my depression

Now, yeah, the title may sound like I am kidding. But hear me out, I watched this while already depressed like hell. Well, how much more depressed could I possibly be from that point on? So I watched this film by David, reluctantly, and found my depression fading away throughout its running time.

I was intrigued and decided to watch behind-the-scenes and learned that principal photography took all of 53 seconds to make this film. That's unbelievable. I wish more filmmakers were doing this. Because it's one thing to talk about big movies and salivate over gear and silly things like that, but this....this is different.

In David F. Sandberg's return to the horror genre, "I flip you off for 4 hours," he shows that he is indeed what we all predicted he would become; an older, and wiser David F. Sandberg. In addition to being the second coming of Jesus the Christ. Sandberg shows his raw talent for filmmaking with his new feature.

After directing Shazam! An incredible action comedy about Zachary Levi's unfortunate journey into the world of prostitution, Sandberg decides to go back to his roots, and a 4 hour single take psychological thriller; it also happens to be an auto-biography.

Sandberg ,who was the writer, director, producer, lead actor, makeup designer, costume designer, and production designer, is the editor of the film.

The film follows Sandberg.

It's invigorating, raw, powerful, and downright HORRIFYING. I peed my pants at lease 3 times, definitely NOT because the film was 4 hours and I just couldn't hold it until the movie was over. That would be juvenile. This abeautiful piece of cinema that deserves to be talked about for at least 6 days.

As a person from Sweden myself, I feel like I finally have a reason to be proud of my country. David F. Sandberg has truly taken the art of movie making to the next level.

Wordless storytelling at its finest. This shows that you don't need a script to be magnificent. It is my favorite film of all time now and it is just perfect in every way.

Trying actually watching it... it's the worst movie of all time...

even with the lame camera trick halfway through when that person is like juggling or something in the frame. It still sucks.

The film Wavelength (1967) comes to mind but even that has more going on.

Beautiful - especially the toilett paper part

I said it in the headline and I say it again: The toilet paper part is worth watching it alone. Especially during the pandemic when it came out (the pandemic and this short). I showed my children the whole movie and they cried.

There is not much more to say. I also had the honor to watch this on the cannes filmfestival, where it had a standing ovation that was almost as long as this movie.

If I would say "this film changed my life" I would definetly have said that.

Spoilers: In the end of this masterpiece, Sandberg flips off the audience, which mirrors the beginning and the middlepart so well.

It's worth to watch every second of it!

Truth is I would give it 9 stars because I am sure that even a film of this magnitude and mastery (the plot! The camera! The choreography! The cathartic ending!!) -being a human creation- is (or should be, could be) somehow flawed. On the other hand, I lack the preparation to qualify or even to quantify the probable flaws here, so I'll just stick to my initial overwhelming admiration and put a 10.

I cry every rewatch. Wow. Just wow. I'm speechless. So speechless I don't know what to write. I can't write. Not anymore. Not after this movie. This... this movie that will forever change my life. Just wow.
