Oh boy.

You know when you have some random depression rabbit-punch you in the the chest and make you wish there was a building taller than your one-story house that you could throw yourself off of? This was the cause of it.

I prayed for death while watching this movie, so I guess it accomplished its goal.
firehead_lazzo1 November 2021
I lack the words to accurately describe just how all-encompassingly wretched this movie is. It's the sort of thing that Clive Barker would lock in a trunk and spend the rest of his life trying to forget about. It's the nightmare that student animators fear they will be contracted to make and then be remembered for. It's the result of dozens of minds engaging with source materials and art assets in a brave attempt to not only make something less than the sum of its parts, but somehow it amounts to even less than the value of any individual part.

I don't like this movie very much.

Why Is This Even A Real Thing?
jeremycrimsonfox9 February 2021
From the same company that brought us the horrid Star Wars rip-off known as Zoo Wars, comes Finding Jesus, a religious film that seems to be trying to make money off Finding Nemo. Basically, it's about two fish, Joy and Muggles, helping others with problems by using scripture from the bible and help from friends.

Yeah, I hate it. For a religious film, it sure is okay with stealing elements from Finding Nemo (and thus, breaking one of the Ten Commandments). The characters are very annoying, and the film gives a false message that scripture can immediately solve any problem or make people feel better in seconds, and the character models are all cheaply done to the point where they are always smiling (making them creepy).

Finding Jesus Is A Literal Tragedy
TacoBelly6717 May 2022
Calling this film a drug trip wouldn't even be fair because drug trips are fun and this movie isn't. If I showed this movie to my child, he would call Child Protective Services on me and I honestly wouldn't blame him.

Monotonous and headache inducing.

Was really hoping for some good laughs when I watched it, but was severely disappointed. Didn't even finish it :(

This is a shameless ripoff of Finding Nemo.
sarabarasara1 September 2021
The movie is one of the shameless ripoffs of Finding Nemo. The voice acting is abmysal and the animation is lazy with poor lip syncing. The characters look like they're always smiling. It doesn't even feel like a movie. Also, the movie might be offensive to Japanese people.

Atrocious and misleading

They don't find Jesus at all in this. I was very disappointed in that regard. This is some sort of super religious Finding Nemo Rip-off film that looks and sounds dreadful. Not even the kids will enjoy this fish poop. Leave the cringe at the bottom of the ocean!

1/10.

Dear reader, I would like to state the immense feeling of utter dread and pain that this movie made me feel inside mine human heart. I cannot even fathom the amount of brain cells that have died utter dreadful and painful deaths inside mine brain. I shall now proceed to jump outside my window in the hope that Jesus will save me from this complete and utter abomination. Yours truly, A broken man.

They never find Jesus
xmaspoophat16 April 2023
Look, I'm not a critic. And also, I just watched this ok Discord with my friends. But, like, really WowNow? These voices are just something else. I feel BAD for the voice actors, I hope they got paid well, because of boy, is this movie a treat. First of all, I don't like the main characters. Bubbles or whatever their name is and Joy. This movie is so bad and forgettable, I can't even remember the MAIN CHARACTERS names. I remember Professor Shark, I remember Mr. Sushi. (Which by the way, having raw fish with fish eggs on it, talking to alive fish is pretty wierd) With his over-done stereotypical Japanese accent is kind of annoying. Also, while I did watch this on YouTube at, like, 0.02 frames per second, the story is also just bed. I can't even mark this for having spoilers because I can't remember the story. All I remember is the plot twist being a joke of how the fish, has the memory of a fish. (Haha "very" funny). I can't remember that much, all I can remember is that this was a slog to get through and I don't recommend anyone to watch this. I know I'm trying to end it here, but the movie just also abruptly stopped at an hour and 8 minutes, almost as if this movie (if I can even call it one) wasn't completed.

This is bs.
squidmemeschannel19 June 2021
Yup, it's another good old classic feeling of WOWNow Entertainment, where you watch the bad movements and with the worst disappointments than any movie. Let's come to this part... this... is... horrible.

How come you might ask? I am not super religious nor a Christian, but I still am offended how they literally tried to mock a Japanese sushi fish... you heard me right... a sushi fish... ugh. It sure is understandable how they need more cash but obviously, you can't get money from that Christian movie. Thus, the whole movie gets a sequel... what a "big" surprise.

Genuinely offended in short both from this and the sequel, not recommending you all to watch them.

Why does this exist?
dmborzic11 September 2022
I understand that this movie is made for children who believe in god, but could they at least make good acting and a good story line? The rating from me would then be at least 7/10. By the way the cgi was sometimes good and bad. Also i would like to say that this movie is a ripoff of finding nemo, and there is another movie thats a ripoff of this movie which is called under the sea. I bet the church tried to make a kids movie but copied finding nemo resulting in bad reviews. I really hope this movie never made it to the cinema because who ever says lets go watch Finding Jesus. Also i dont understand why the hole topic is only about jesus? As someone who is in a theocratic country (Croatia) we have catholic movies for kids which are exactly like this, horrible and bad. But i have never seen a movie with only 1 topic, Jesus. Like i understood the first time it was said.

Just Don't
chantelpentaho25 June 2023
I'm a Christian and enjoy many christian movies. I can overlook a lot of technical issues - a lot of Christian movies do not have large budgets so they do the best they can. But this movie was so incredibly bad that even my 3 year old told me that "he just couldn't take it anymore".

The script had no real plot, no character or story arcs. The stereotypical Asian accent for "sushi" fish made me feel so sad that the people making the film probably didn't even see how offensive that was.

The animation wasn't the greatest, but it was passable. The acting was really, really bad.

I do believe that they can improve however. They need a real story, with characters who grow, real complications, real life dialog, and a real plot. And real encounters and revelations of Christ. Let the Lord guide the writing.

Every character doesn't have to have an entirely different accent, after all they live in the same area.

This... thing killed the rest of my sanity.
maddychanx1 February 2022
Why did I do this to me? Before watching this atrocity I read all the reviews here and was like: Oh! An abyss full of scorpions? CAN'T BE THAT BAD, SCREW THEM I WILL HAVE A GOOD LAUGH! Well screw me. I only got to minute 13. At minute 3 I knew this was a bad horror movie. At minute 6 I felt emotionally abused and at minute 10 I started crying like a little girl and told my boyfriend to make it stop.

Afterwards I stared at the roof for like 1 hour. I will quit everything slightly "religious" or "spiritual" now. Can't anymore... I will quit Yoga and go full Science. Nothing good comes out of religion.. I am done here and I will try to forget. PLEASE DON'T BE A FOOL LIKE ME, DON'T WATCH THIS. JUST DON'T!

The worst movie I've ever seen
crickykorner20 June 2022
This movie is horrible, I'm not even half way through. I may not be the main target, this is a Christian movie for very young children and a 14 year old artist shouldn't be watching something for such young children, but I decided tonight that I'd watch some rip off movies, this one is the absolute worst, it makes Ratatooing and Plan Bee look like masterpieces. I can't talk about this without talking about the animation. This doesn't even look animated, it looks like somebody put stickers that were animated over a background with very unnatural dialogue over it. The plot of this movie is so boring that not even the young child demographic that this movie is targeted at would be interested in, there's basically no plot whatsoever. The voice acting is horrible as well, they sound way too forced. If i could give this a 0 I would, this movie makes me want to rip my ears off. If there is a actual plot to this movie, it shouldn't take 30 minutes to get there. I do not recommend you show this movie to ANYONE.

Why
barksdalejay13 July 2022
They use half of the animations over again that is why they never look like they are never saying what they are saying. Also why Jesus I fell like I am at Bible study again.

Why does this exist 💀
violetnettleship6 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
A terrible movie that not only rips off finding Nemo, but tries to cater towards unsuspecting Christian families who will fall for this shameless cash grab. Some movies are so bad it's funny. This was plain bad. I am so happy I did not purchase this movie and watched it over YouTube. Worst hour and like 15 minutes of my life. Half of the movie is just these little fish things (doesn't feel right to call them real fish) swimming in an empty ocean and "reciting" Bible verses. I had the pleasure of being around family members who shared my pain, and would all equally agree that this movie is terrible. This is the reason god stays in heaven...

This movie is a masterpiece!
eightbitbugged31 March 2021
This is, hands down, the best movie of all time. Period. When Muggles was collecting algae in a place where there was no algae, I felt that. The design of this movie is ahead of its time - I especially admire how the character's mouths and words are not in sync, and their dead, staring, cold eyes fits them so well. This movie left me in tears and it breaks my heart to see it only has 2.7/10, for it should deserve at least a 13.

I thought veggie tales was bad 👎
jimberry-7391013 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is probably the worst movie I have ever seen. The plot was terribly boring, the first only thing that happened was two fish swam around "helping" other fish, and they always came back to that annoying shark guy that just told them to do more "acts of kindness". There was also racism, as we see when the character Mr. Sushi is introduced. The lip synching is also horrible, and the characters are always smiling, even when they are sad or claim to be grumpy or scary. This is not only a terrible movie, but a bad influence on kids and a rip-off of the movie Finding Nemo. If I could give this zero stars, I definitely would.

I Never Thought I'd See A Movie Worse Than Wonder (2017), But Here We Are
matthewmcguire-463258 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So for a bit of context, prior to me watching this garbage, the worst movie of all time in my opinion was Wonder (2017). It was a boring, slowly paced and poorly directed film. But then on 7th October 2022, i stumbled across a dvd of this movie on a bench while i was walking my dogs. Seemed like the previous owner of the movie didn't want it. I took it home and put it in my dvd player. I had no hope for this 69 minute movie to begin with and i expected it to be a christian propaganda film, films that are terrible enough. Despite the title, the characters don't even find Jesus in the movie. So why the movie was called Finding Jesus (2020), i will never know.

The animation is ugly, it's slow paced, the characters are annoying, it's extremely boring, there are some glitches in the animations since the film looks like it was edited and animated on Adobe and i wasted 69 minutes of my life. Fun fact i they the dvd out of my window after i finished watching the movie. This film is scary, not because it's actually scary but because it's terrifying to think that someone actually okayed this for release. Then i had a quick look on Imdb and then i see that the movie had a user score of 1.1/10. We'll deserved. But then i found out that there's a sequel (that shouldn't exist).

The fact that some people actually enjoyed this movie makes me sick. But i also feel bad that some people had to watch this trash like myself. And that's why, i think this is very well deserving of the title "The worst movie of all time".

Christ is real
slinpel2 November 2022
This movie changed my life. My belief that there has to be a higher power that feeds on the misfortune of people is stronger than ever. Something out there influenced the mind of the creators, if not Jesus it must have been Nyarlathotep, Shub-Niggurath or some other Outer God. Professor Shark is a direct reference to the mind altering capabilities of the black pharao himself, who finds joy in the hate and fear created in humans. I'm psychological broken, a complete wreck. Not even the otherwise soothing comfort of narcotics can fulfill the overwhelming need to forget the terrible knowledge gained by this movie. I'm ded now.

One of the Most hilarious titles I've ever seen
laurenpawlenko26 July 2022
I watched this masterpiece for free on youtube. This is BEYOND level of hilarious! I already bursted out laughing just by reading the name. ''Finding Jesus'', this is comedic masterpiece. It's one of those good ol' bad rip-offs that you watch just to see how bad it is, and I can say that this one is worth a watch. Not because it's good by any extent tho, but I promise that this is really entertaining. This movie is awful and amazing at the same time, hilarious and painful, makes me want to die and live, truly a enigma of a movie.

One of the *best* parts of this is when two bumbling idiot fishes encounter some sushi (???) whom speaks in a japanese accent (this couldn't get crazier) who just talks about Jesus and that's it. I have no minimal idea why, why this was so hilarious.... I couldn't believe my eyes. How the HELL could a SUSHI live in the ocean? I mean, if it is a sushi, then that means that they were talking to a dead fish? Like, to a corpse? I don't know, but this movie is absolutely beyond human comprehension, maybe in the future we will understand the masterpiece that ''Finding Jesus'' is and we will embrace this movie and put it in a museum and worship it. 10/10 experience. The movie itself is a 1/10 of course, but holy cow I never laughed so hard in such a long time.

WORK OF ART
giugiubush16 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is an absolute masterpiece. It's a classic work of art. I literally could not stop laughing during most of the Mr. Sushi scenes! He is hands down an iconic character and will always have a place in my heart, nevermind he brought us back 50 years. I thought his accent made him a fine, cultured young fellow.

Despite what many say, I don't think this movie copied Finding Nemo. Unlike Finding Nemo, the characters seemed to have no motive or dilemma, and the plot was always unclear, so clearly, it's an original and unique film that's greatly ahead of it's time. I found the unsynced voices to be a bold statement to influence generations, and the blank stares and even occasionally lazy eyes of the characters to add a certain artistic flare to it.

This movie really was an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed and I cried, I felt so much empathy for the characters through their hardships. Especially when Buttons hit his nose on a coral. My heart swelled with the longing to reach through the screen and caress his poor fish "nose".

Case in point, Mr. Sushi is superior, and this movie was so good that when it ended, I sprung up from my couch and gave it a standing ovation while crying tears of joy.

Definitely show this to your children. If they beg to change the channel it means they can't sit through the educational inquiries in this film and it's just too advanced for your little ones.

10/10 do recommend.

Oh, and after watching this, I definitely feel much closer to Jesus. <3.
