Falling from the Sky
Hitchcoc1 March 2021
The horrible injury of a skydiver is investigated from several avenues. A religious charismatic with modern ideas is found dead in the desert with a crushed skull. And then a couple guys are found by a pool, decomposing after dying from something mysterious. This takes the CSI's back to their real mission of using science to solve crimes. I know it's a small thing but Ray's discovery at the end is based on his broad knowledge literature and science. I hate it when people are looked at respectfully for a lack of general knowledge.

Another Weak Episode

When the parachute of the experienced Belgium skydiver Pierre Delongue does not open during a fall, the CSIs suspect the equipment was sabotaged. Pierre is submitted to surgeries and his partner and best friend Max Girard stays with him in the hospital, while Nick and Riley investigate the evidences. Meanwhile, Brass, Catherine and Greg investigate the deaths of two man nearby the swimming pool. Their investigation shows that the cases may be connected. Langston and Hodges check the body of a man dressed like a monk found in the desert. Soon they learn that the victim is Holy Steven, and they go to his church to interview his fellow preacher George, with surprising results.

"The Descent of Man" is another weak episode of "CSI". Langston's segment is awful, with the accidental death of Steven. The case of Pierre is also not good, and the death of the two guys is probably the best part of the show. My vote is six.

The team is working again, better than the 200th!

Warning: Spoilers
Everyone got a little action this week. Nick and Riley get the skydiver, Ray (level 1) is out on his own investigating a dead guy in the desert, and Catherine and Greg get two rich dead guys by a pool. We learn the skydiver and the rich guys are connected. Ray tells an old fable about a religious man dying from an object falling from the sky and solves his case. The skydiver and dead guys by the pool are a little more complicated. Editing and visual mistakes abound in this one--why is the grave shift working days? Why is Ray working alone? Why is Hodges in the morgue working a dead body? And put on your "closed captions" cause you will never understand the accents of a couple of these guys. Brass is letting off his zingers as usual. After 30 minutes, we finally get Catherine and Greg--both seem to have disappeared this season. With this one, maybe there is hope on the horizon that CSI will get back to it's old self. Whoever thought this show needed a big "star" to be good needs to be fired.
