Storyline

The story of the ladies on Wisteria Lane are moved ahead five years in time to when Susan flirts with her painter, Jackson Braddock, after Mike having been gone for so long, but not willing to commit to a relationship. Meanwhile, Bree denies all the help "her" company has received from her business partner Katherine, while Andrew feels like a doormat under Bree's influence. Lynette still has problems in getting Tom to see the light when it comes to their over exuberant trouble-making twins Porter and Preston. Also, Edie moves back to Wisteria Lane with a new husband: a charming but mysterious guy named Dave Williams who no one knows anything about. Elsewhere, Gabrielle deals with Carlos who is still blind as well as their two spoiled and overweight daughters Juanita and Celia. Written by Moviedude1

Bring back the old Gabby!
6 March 2009 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

I was totally shocked by episode 1 of season 5. I can understand that a lot can happen in five years, but where was the explanation?? A few seconds at the end of season 4 was really not adequate. I was also so confused by the intro to episode 1 of season 5 that I believed I had the wrong DVD! Gabby poor and penniless, married to Carlos who is blind with a PUG ugly fat daughter?? Surely not. Susan is now divorced from Mike and shacking up with some painter and decorator? The last I saw of Susan she was desperately happy with Mike and had just had a baby.

There is a large chunk missing that I hope will be explained with future episodes. For the time being, I am not so sure about this season.
