Plot Summary |
Enchanted forest dwellers enthusiastically listen to the singing of the Nightingale, but suddenly Magpie, who just arrived from abroad, interrupts the concert. Magpie states that the Nightingale art of singing is already out of date. She gives her own concert and performs down-hole jazz composition to which the inhabitants of the forest goggle and ultimately banish the Magpie out of sight. From a modern point of view it is not so clear what it is better - Soviet stage of Nightingale or American jazz of Magpie.
