Errrrrrrr, Where do i Begin with this one? Film opens with a Paaaaaaaaaaaaarty going on and our main focal point being Mary (Laura Breckinridge) Getting a few down her in a local bar. After downing drinks climbs into the car to drunkenly drive home here's where the film get started, numerous camera shots which kinda lulls you into a false sense of security, gets you thinking the film is going to be quite good.Wrong! someone does however (Enda McCallion director)want to add some dynamic camera-work which does work on some occasions, at times its fresh and new, but at times confusing and makes you feel like "did i just miss something" parts of the story lines flash before your eyes and your made to feel that your now at a different part of the film.
Back with Mary the Drunkard when suddenly she swerves to avoid something in the road, the weird thing is there is no thud, no crash, no screaming but as you may know she has in fact hit something. when Mary arrives home the scene is set and the tension cranks up a bit as a noise omits from the garage, Mary investigates to find someone stuck to the bumper of her car! I'm no Scenes of crime investigator but how did that happen? no thud, no Crash, no wailing, to Mary's shock at finding a body on the front her car and its still alive, she then calls an Ambulance to get him seen too as he could die right? Wrong again! Mary being Mary then decides to finish him off with a golf club! WTF???
In her panic Mary Drives to the woods to dispose of body, dig a hole to bury him i hear you scream, Mary does that but with a stick! i'm no Gardener or grave digger but don't use a stick it gets you nowhere, Try a Frisbee? i was only kidding Mary! Mary actually tries to dig a grave with a Frisbee! hilarious! its a this point all the good work at the start, the dynamic camera-work the story telling, its all goes to pot and you realise its not a good film a brave attempt at something new just falls way short. The jumping scenes midway through the movie are just there to confuse it seems and mask over flaws in the film.
Rick(the Boyfreind) who surprisingly does not stay the night with his Girl(dam fool! parents are away and everything!) would have been nice to see how he died but no you don't get to see this as the scene's jump past it?????
Quick Reference to the guy on the front of the car, Where did he come from? why was he in the woods with no shoes on? why if he's impailed on the front of some big ass bumpers looking seriously injured, beat up by a golf club, buried in a grave, why is he then able to overcome and kill Rick (who is able bodied) travel miles on foot and track down Mary? Too many flaws in the film. Anyhow our miracle man that was run down finally tracks down Mary to get revenge by strapping Mary to the front of the vehicle in Christmas lights? why? don't ask me..
Maniac then drives her around town and the camera-work kicks back in as the car speeds around trying to scare Mary, by this stage I had lost interest as you might do to be honest, the rest of the film is empty and nothing is worth watching. The only reason I gave this film 4 stars it was going to 3, but an extra star goes to Laura Breckinridge just for trying with a bad script and most importantly not being a stick insect actress! One more thing if you do watch the film He should have opened his eye at the end! watch the film and you will understand! Really, you should have opened his eye would have been a good ending to a poor film... peace!
