Ayda Field has landed the female lead on ABC's untitled David Kohan/Max Mutchnick comedy pilot.
The project, from Warner Bros. TV, centers on two men -- Derek (Josh Cooke), who is straight, and Drew (Alan Tudyk), who is gay -- who are lifelong best friends and business partners.
Field will play Audrey, Derek's stylish but emotionally messy girlfriend.
The role has been recast following the pilot's table read. Sarah Lafleur, who originally was set for the part, is under a talent deal with ABC and is expected to be attached to another project for the network.
Field most recently co-starred as ditsy weathergirl Montana on Fox's sitcom Back to You. She also had a role on the WBTV-produced Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip for NBC.
