Pretty cool.

This is a totally untraditional short film--with no conventional narrative, no actors and no real start or finish. Instead, you see acres and acres of land at Griffith Park in California on fire. What's unique is that the video and the sound are sped up and you witness the devastation of the fire in time-lapse form. In an odd way, it was strangely captivating to watch and is less of a film and looks more like something you might see in a modern art exhibit.

If you are the type person who really does want a story and characters, then this film isn't for you. If you are rather forbearing and don't mind a very short film like this, then give it a try. About the only thing I didn't like about it were the burning cigarettes--they seemed out of place. Otherwise, fascinating and different and I can certainly respect all the time that went into this odd film.
