good job

a good horror.not extraordinary, using the Italian movies recipes of emotions' exploitations, mixture of myth and personal childhood, part of large tradition of killers behind mysterious situations, using the theme of vulnerable stranger in hostile place, it is far to be original but it has the perfect rhythm to impress and convince. the performance of Bassi, the rural Italy at beginning of century, the stories of love and revenge , the search of truth and the spectacular result are pieces who does Mal'aria an interesting film. and a good work. not original, not remarkable but decent and useful as one of that horrors who are more than seed for cries.

it could remind many films with the same theme. it could be accused to use old clichés . but that is the good point. different ways. the image of vulnerable stranger in a hostile community. the mysteries, dreams, secrets as parts of dark circle. tradition and myth and obsession and love as keys. Mal'aria is an admirable proof for to do a good horror. to use the parts of tradition of genre for a decent story with many flavors. sure, the photography and the landscapes are great. and Ettore Bassi seems be perfect choice for the doctor in strange place. the references to the folklore are the perfect spice for the force of a search who becomes fascinating mixture of dark and light. sure, it could be better. but it has the virtue to suggest in credible manner a story like an embroidery of social references, myth, clash between religion and old spiritual refuges.and this is not a bad thing.
