My favorite part of this world is its utter uniqueness. Rather than re-using races that everyone uses, like dwarves, elves, ogres, etcetera, Black Plasma Studios came up with entirely new races that no ones ever seen, like Magnorites and Ardoni. They created new kinds of magic that have never been see, an incredible world, and great animation. The fight scenes are incredible, the interactions between characters are great, and in typical Black Plasma Studios fashion, they masterfully use body language and facial expressions to convey the mood in the scene. Their voice acting is great, and the way they constantly follow several groups of characters to show whats happening across the whole world is great. The only qualms I have are some issues with walking animations and fluids, like water and lava, but otherwise, easily the most unique production I've ever seen.

WOW!!!
Songs of war was probably one of the best shows I ever seen, with stunning scenes ,grate animation, perfect voice acting, and over all grate character development, this was an amazing movie/ TV show (Because all episodes combined are 2 hours), the story is an idea I haven't really seen done before and to be honest could be better than the planned minecraft movie.
Just as good as Lord of the Rings!

This has amazing animation on the animators' part, the story (with its world and lore) is thoroughly detailed, and the fighting sequences are spectacular! The only issue I have is that the walking animations are a bit off, but that's about it.

The effort in this Minecraft Animation is just mindblowing. They spent 5 years making this, they hired people and spent money to make this masterpiece. The animation, visual effects, characters, voice acting, and plot is just amazing. I've never seen anything like this on YouTube. This deserves more than 100 million views! I'm proud of David R. B. who directed this and made Black Plasma Studios.

Animation super detailed~ The characters were great and their motiviations were all understandable. Beautiful writing~ A++++++++ animation. The fight scenes are gorgeous. Should be available in regular theatres.

The best thing about this series is the magic system. It really suits the story. It has some cool characters as well. So, watch it, but don't set your expectations too high. The fact that it exists is enough of a reason to watch it in the first place as it was made by a relatively small team and budget, and is better than most films with budgets exceeding the tens of millions.

This series is pretty much a one of a kind. I adore the setting, the story, the voice acting, and the bloopers are hilarious. I have to say, the worldbuilding in this series is some of the best I've ever seen. The fight animations are actually fast - noticable flaws in other minecraft animations is that the fight animations are always so sluggish - which is definitely a plus for me. Every episode had me hooked and I binged the series again to make sure I knew everything that was going on by the time episode 8 rolled around.
I hate how this series got so little attention. It deserves more! I believe this a flaw from the promotion of the series. Really, it needs more promotion as I only found out about it from a friend. Maybe they should have released a trailer and plastered it everywhere - on Discord, on Twitter, on Reddit and of course on YouTube. However, the creators did not do this, so this is a very underground series that is incredibly underrated right now.
I was disappointed to find out they cancelled season 2 and 3 - however, if the creator doesn't feel like continuing it, that's OK.

The phrase: you try to count more than you can count is the summary of the series.
Its first 7 episodes are too heavy, predictable and with characters that leave you little.
Mind you, I like Song Of Wars and I think it could have been a revolution, but I'm not going to turn a blind eye.
The beginning is very saturated. A chapter 1 that introduces you to a lot of information.
A series called Canciones de guerra and it doesn't develop the songs at all.
Apart from the songs I see them as rotissima, I see no limit to their power.
It's a medieval fantasy, you can take your time introducing everything little by little, instead of all at once.
It seeks to be an Archplot that speaks for its narrative and world, when we have seen that narrative that feels very Lord of the Rings 1000 times.
He was able to do the game of thrones thing, use a microplot in my characters to narrate the story, give them depth and conflict.
And the biggest problem of the series: Talleus: 1_ Very flat. Really 2_ Weeeeeeeee if they killed his partner and he's worth a dick.
3_ He didn't believe that the red Ardonis were going to come back and then when he died, his brother says that he was very fast in his time, when... the series shows us nothing...
The work picks up a good rhythm and very good after chapter 7 to 10 and that's why I like it, all the plots take shape and that's the problem: it goes very fast and very slow at the same time.

When I first came across this movie, it was when scrolling down from a documentary on Halo 2. I realized immediately that it was a Minecraft movie, and thought that it would be a ridiculous comedy. I might have made the worst understatement in the history of movies. Everything was great, from the animation to the voice acting. Not only was the movie entertaining, but it provided some good morals as well. Take when Senn arrives home to Sendaria, a place he wanted to escape from his whole life. There is no dialogue explaining how he feels, but by the way he rushes to search the ruins, we realize how many fond memories he has of the place and how he realizes there truly is no place like home.
The different personalities of the characters also make the story much better. All characters, even the villains, have a sense of honor and purpose, not just killing for the hell of it. Even Jalkar stood up for Grim when the Voltaris discluded him from the deal. I was shocked when he abandoned his partner when Abbigail caught up to them. Tygren's persistence and determination is truly admirable, even though his actions kill maybe even hundreds of ardoni. Lucan's witty, sarcastic demeanor as compared to level-headed Niika demonstrates how opposites attract.
I must commend Black Plasma Studios' originality. Rather than use ordinary fantasy races, they introduce unique species such as Ardoni, Felina, and Magnorites. Main characters from all four species (including humans) working together teach us that we are all just people and can work together (and well) in times of crisis.
The animations of just about everything is outstanding. Fighting is as fluid as if the characters are living beings that have been recorded. I believe that the only animation mistake in the entire 2 hour movie was Ria running towards Senn before he presents her with a handmade spear.
Like everyone who watched the movie, I was enormously disappointed upon the cancelation announcement. It brought to my attention how unadvertised this amazing movie, and to think I stumbled upon this based on luck! BPS has videos with two, three, or even four times as many views as Songs of War, and they aren't close to as good. I highly recommend all to watch this, and for those who have money to spare, please become a patreon so that BPS brings back the old team and makes Seasons 2 and 3.

This is the best minecraft animation ever. No other minecraft animation has quality as good the minecraft Songs of War animation. It has cool fight animations and awesome animation quality for minecraft animation you won't be disappointed if you watch it. It has its own unique plot and characters a lot of it has its own made up fantasy that's blended into a world of minecraft and has a lot in common to a minecraft world. You don't need to be a minecraft fan to enjoy this animation or even know anything about the game. Songs of war season 2 and 3 got canceled because of a lack of support, but at least 2 of the songs of war season 1 animators and volunteers are continuing the series and are making season 2 on a YouTube channel called PixelZnimation they won't be able to continue season 2 without enough support though. So far as of when this review was written the group that is animating season 2 call themselves Knights of Ardonia and have completed making songs of war season 2 episode 1. The animation is very good for a fanmade animation on Youtube. The Channel that made started the series and has season 1 uploaded is called Black Plasma Studios. One of the best series I have ever watched in such a long time. Each episode was produced completely stunning and done completely good. The story-telling was phenomenal. Each line was perfectly delivered and executed and the story was well fleshed, from characters to arcs, I got hooked. The visuals were stunning, the lighting and basically everything was great. From every angle, you could pause at any point and get a stunning visual. From a Minecraft animation, it was completely amazing. The vc's did wonderfully, the voice of the characters had so much emotion and power. Sad to say, the series was cancelled but for the episodes that were released, I was pleased. If you took the time to read the script and find out was happens next, you'd be surprised at the amount of great storytelling. This series was potential, and hopefully, the show might come back (cough please cough). The fandom had already made fan animations if you want to watch.
Overall, it was one of the best series ever to exist.

This is a masterpiece from heaven. This series sadly didn't make it past one season. Best series I have seen and deserves a watch. There is so much detail that you need to rewatch it several times and surf the wiki to truly feel like you have finished it, it's that good. Black Plasma Studios created a miracle of entertainment.

While I am upset there won't be a season 2, this is probably one of, if not, the best Minecraft series I've seen. The voice acting and animation is incredible, same goes for the music and story. Thank you, Black Plasma studios.
Bets minecraft animation with good plot and quality

This Minecraft animation had good fight scenes and its own interesting story, plot and good characters. It also had good voice actors it wasn't like any other minecraft animation you might not have to be a minecraft fan to like it. Season 2 is cancelled but some of the animators who made songs of war are going to animate the second season but they can't finish the whole series, but they can make some good episodes if they get enough support. The channel they're uploading the first episode of season 2 episode 1 is PixelZnimation so far they've done a good job with season 2 episode 1 an the quality is close to that of the season 1 episodes. And there's also another channel that's trying to continue the series which is the channel Helios animation the channel already uploaded their lower quality version of episode one. I enjoyed songs of war it's the best minecraft animation on youtube because the effort to make it made it look high quality compared to any other minecraft animation. This animation deserved more views and the people who worked on it deserved more support.
