They saved the best for last, and the series ends on a high. It has been consistent the whole way through, and I guess the theme that's run the whole way through is tension, in this concluding part we get to see those tensions spill over, with deadly consequences.
Fair to say, it's been a slow burner, but that's exactly how it was penned many years ago. The pacing is very deliberate.
Decadent production values once again, although on my screen it was awfully dark at times, despite efforts to increase the brightness.
Superb acting, Gemma Arterton was excellent, but how good was Aisling Franciosi! I cannot wait to order this on blu ray, and get immersed in this story once again.
I hope next year we get the seasonal Agatha Christie drama.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, 8/10.
