Silly fun!

I liked this independent short, as it had a cute sense of humor--never coming close to taking itself very seriously.

The film begins with what appears to be an ordinary guy knocking on the door. However, the man announces that he's death and the man who lives in the home sees that he's actually lying over on the couch---dead! However, this not so grim Reaper takes him on a very long and pointless road trip to the afterlife--often stopping along the route to see the sites as well as pick up some ladies! It's certainly NOT the express ride and the victim is irritated--he wants to see the Pearly Gates!

There are some nice little twists here and there and the film is well done for an independent short. I also liked the Country-Western style song that played throughout--it was very catchy (despite me usually hating that type of music).

Death takes its course

Warning: Spoilers
It all seemed so easy, just another day at the office. Death incarnate with hellishly red shades rings the bell to accompany a recently deceased to eternity. They enter the car and the newest victim is immediately supplied with leaflets. Unfortunately it proves a busy day, so Death has to pick up a girl that fell from a ladder. The fact that she's quite stunning results in Death ordering the initial guy to the backseat. And that's not all for a day. Shortly after, the car is filled with chicks and space seems scarce, especially after Death accidentally runs over another fella he has no choice but to fit in now. Early on, the first victim was wondering if he's going to heaven or hell and looking at his face expression throughout the short, especially in the scene where the girls argue loudly, he's already there.

It's a decent short that has its moments here and there, but even at only 8 minutes it kinda failed to entertain me from start to finish.
