One time watchable funny movie

A series of funny encounters with police and public.Good laughter moments.The acting of saiju kurup, indrens, vijay babu and irshad is nice to watch.A one time watchable movie.You wont regret it watching once in dvd or online.Not worth to watch in theatre.My rating 6/10.

A comedic relief

Loved the movie from the start. A well balanced one which are rear in this category. Most of the time a good script might get destroyed by bad direction and acting. But here it's perfectly done. A simple plot that scrambles and come together at the end. Loved Saiju Kurup along with the other characters well portrayed. Good direction and well written lines and moments.

For a long time I had been thinking: why can't Malayalam cinema be light-hearted and still qualitative? Why can't there be films that have peculiar subjects and then carve comedy out of those in the form of slapstick and tomfoolery? Why can't there be a spoof movie in Malayalam? And then I saw Janamaithri (People-Friendly) last night and I no longer have those thoughts. It is everything that I wanted Malayalam cinema to consider: pure slapstick that is as brilliant as any hard-themed film. The attention to detail and the level of buffer dubbing in John Manthrickal's directorial debut is unsurprisingly fantastic; I laughed out loud quite a few times whether it was where characters use a slang for the word 'excreta' or induce political and other current topics into their dialogues to tickle your bones. With complementing performances by Saiju Kurup (in one of his best and most funniest), Sabumon, and Indrans (and even by Vijay Babu who comes out as a nice addition to the comic cast lie-up), this satirical comedy about Kerala police's attempts to sanitize itself and put up a good show in front of the public gets much love from me. It's a very well-made film with a good closure and that is supposed to be watched with your entire family. It will make you laugh, I can guarantee that. TN.

Simple straightforward comedy movie. It doesn't complicate things and the whole scripting is well plotted. Definitely a one time watch movie!

I have not written many reviews in imdb but for this flim I feel I should,actually this is a very neat and engaging comedy I have seen in long time,6.5 ratings is very less for this flim, this flim is low in budget but very high in entertainment. A VERY MUST WATCH FLIM IF U WANT TO REFRESH UR SELF and BTW Iam north Indian person who saw this flim with subtitles and than also I enjoyed so much.

If you are tensed, watch this movie.. Of course this film Will make you in good and happy mood.. Very good entertaining movie. I laughed a lot... Thanks to all of its crews. Sabu and Saiju Kurup are awesome...

Drags from the beginning to the end

The movie promises an interesting time... and then stabs you in the back. Its stretchy like chewing gum from the road stuck to your shoe and makes you regret it from the time you realise what's happened. Waste of time and talent.

Simple and humble comedy entertainer

I was not expecting much seeing the rating of just 6.5 for this film. But this is one of the most humble comedy film I have seen. This movie is a total entertainer and laugh maker without any mood killer drama or twist which are usually found in later half of many films of this genre.

All the actors are equally entertaining. The comedy bits are so simple yet they succeed in making one laugh because of the comedic talent of the actors.

Must watch if you just wanna laugh.
