Fame Academy may only have lasted two series, but boy, did it burn bright. And even though it was over ten years ago that it was on our screens, we're still belting out David Sneddon's utter tune 'Stop Living The Lie' at our DS karaoke sessions.
But the news of series two's Alistair Griffin teaming up with Kimberley Walsh for a Tour de France single got us thinking - what happened to all of our favourite Fame Academy contestants? Well, here's what we could find out about 16 of the students over both series...

Ashley House
Ashley might have been eliminated in week one of Fame Academy (the shame) but he's not let that little disappointment hold him back. He went on to guest star in an episode of Cbbc's Mi: High... look, we promise, this gets better. He's now a sports presenter who helped launch Arsenal TV,...

In a night of unforgettable performances by legendary musicians, the most-anticipated moment of the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief was Paul McCartney's rumored reunion with the surviving members of Nirvana.
And reunite they did ... for New York minute.
"The penny finally dropped, and I realized I was in the middle of a Nirvana reunion," said Sir Paul before introducing Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear.
Instead of playing "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or another cover, the fab four played an original song, "Cut Me Some Slack." After that blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, McCartney's band rejoined him for his final tune, "I've Got a Feeling."
The former Beatle opened his set with "Helter Skelter," and also played "Let Me Roll It," "My Valentine" (with Diana Krall) and "Blackbird."
Alicia Keys closed out the show with "Empire State of Mind."
Other highlights of the night that made musical history:

Selecting breakout talents from the lineup of this year's New York International Fringe Festival (running through Aug. 24) is a daunting task. Consider the numbers: Now in its 12th year, the festival calls itself "the largest multiarts festival in North America," presenting more than 200 companies from around the nation and the world. Competition to gain entry is keen. And in many instances, fair comparisons between shows cannot be made — it's the proverbial apples versus oranges. Still, here's a sampling of actors whose names you'll want to remember.Bill ConningtonIt's no easy feat making a sexual psychopath understandable, if not sympathetic. In his solo show Zombie, adapted from the Joyce Carol Oates novella, Bill Connington plays Quentin P., a Jeffrey Dahmer-esque serial killer. In graphic detail the character recounts the torture, rape, and murder of his young male victims. Quentin's purpose, he explains, is to create zombie slaves who will serve him.
