Brought the desperation of active addiction to life
PhillyManfredo28 August 2023
As a person in recovery this movie really brought me back to what it was like when i was in active addiction. The writer did a great job developing each of the three addicts and ramping up the tension for the ending. Each character has their own nuances and the actors/actress all did a great job making each character believable and authentic. Slaine was great in the lead role, as he brought the same intense energy he had in other crime films. The dark visual tones also contributed to the emotions of the story. This film lives up to its claim of showing the horror of what untreated addiction can become... further searching for the solution is required.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was moving. The storyline, writing and cinematography was beautiful and poetic. I truly enjoyed the time lapse scene displaying the progression of the disease. The beginning, middle and end was solid showing the progression of the disease in each character. I also enjoyed the meeting scene and the actor that gave the monologue. The emotion he portrayed was powerful. The ending scene nicely demonstrated how moments can impact our life and the power of our choices. If you or anyone you know is battling with addiction, this movie will give you a real look into the disease and how it affects everyone's life.
