This hour long doc is very well done; the film follows its main subject, Jonas, over a period of several months. The filmmaker, Elias Daughdrill, utilizes interviews with and photographs and scenes of the main character to understand his brother who suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. Over the course of the film, the filmmaker interviews Jonas' parents and brother. In addition, he follows Jonas with the camera, attempting to capture him in his everyday element. The film does not contain any blatant moralizing or heavy-handedness; instead, it is an honest and open exploration of schizophrenia and a family's attempt, and more specifically the filmmaker's attempt, to come to terms with the disease and its effects on a loved one.
