While not one of the best ever episodes of 'Life on Mars' as ever there is still a lot to like here, from the sheer brilliance of Gene Hunt, to the slow unravelling of Sam Tyler.
I thought the plot was a bit dragged out though, and there was an element that we'd done this sort of thing better in other episodes, but I can't fault the performances from all involved, and acknowledge that in all TV shows there are inevitably weaker episodes.
This was still good fun in places.
