The aerial of one Ethel Meaker.

Mr Claypole helps Mr Meaker move house, and Rentaghost begin a transport business, both have mixed degrees of success.

It's a right old romp this one, it's funny, it's crazy, it feels so different from the more serious episodes from the first series.

Who on Earth would trust Timothy Claypole with any sort of task?

I love this episode for one reason in particular, it's the first time the show would feature Ann Emery, the glorious Ethel Meaker. Slightly wild here, nothing to the crazy heights she would reach later on.

The scenes between Fred and his parents once again are very, very funny.

It's great, 8/10.

Moving house!

Warning: Spoilers
The second episode of the second season of 'Rentaghost'.

By this point in the series, the spooks had moved into an upmarket office. Photos of the trio are displayed prominently behind the reception desk. When Fred uses his ghostly powers to park Mr. Meaker's car, he gets an idea. Start up a Rentaghost taxi serivice. No cars are needed. Passengers just sit on a chair and are teleported to wherever they wish to go. Mr. Claypole gets carried away as usual. When a passengers wants to go for a Chinese meal, the jester sends him to Hong Kong! Meanwhile, Fred is trying to have some quality time with his parents. Claypole is given an important responsibilty - to help the Meakers move house!

A terrific episode this, particularly as it introduces the wonderful Ann Emery ( sister of Dick ) as Meaker's harridan wife, Ethel. She would become a mainstay of the programme.

In a lovely moment, Mr. Mumford discovers Fred has thrown his bacon and egg breakfast out of the window. Instead of being angry, he sympathises with him! Obviously Fred's mum is not a very good cook.

Funniest moment - Claypole helping the Meakers move house. Literally. Through their living room window, the startled couple see their street receding into the distance!
