A very clever, well crafted mystery.

A stage psychic, by the name of Rachel Harmey predicts the murder of an MP in front of a crowd of guests, including Sergeant Marriott, soon after he is in deed found dead, Rachel becomes the prime suspect.

There is a good deal of imagination here, plenty of smoke and mirrors, this is perhaps one of the best episodes from series 6. There are some very creative elements here, the whole idea of The Devil's daughter is so clever.

If you're expecting something along the lines of The Exorcist, you may be disappointed, there aren't really any horror tones, if on the other hand you're expecting a well crafted murder mystery, I think you're in luck.

Watch out for a young Josephine Tewson, a very early role for her, it would be some time before Hyacinth would torment poor Elizabeth. Her voice is unmistakable, she looks pretty wonderful, her delivery is excellent.

A very good episode.

8/10.
