Funny Times!

The eleventh episode in the first season of 30 Rock is a really funny, borderline brilliant episode that features some hilarious subplots. It took me awhile to warm up to this series but by this point in time, it's full steam ahead. The acting is great and everyone nearly has perfect timing and the chemistry is never greater. Plus, I have come to name this show as the "Alec Baldwin Show."

This episode, "The Head or the Hair," has Jenna and Liz meeting two men in the elevator known as the Head and the Hair and Liz ends up going out with the Hair. Meanwhile, Jack participates in a program called "Bottoms Up" Day where he is a worker for a day and promotes Kenneth to be his boss. Also, Tracy remembers he has to write an autobiography and he works on it before he remembers he doesn't have one.

Overall, this is a hilarious episode and I just love how it ended because it was so funny and pretty shocking. But I'll leave it to the viewer to watch this episode. I rate this episode 9/10.

The Head and the Hair (#1.11)

Warning: Spoilers
In this episode Liz end up going out with a hot guy she always met at the elevator and who she feels is too hot for he.

Jack has a day where he takes over Kenneth's job and Kenneth is his boos. This is when Kenneth also tells him about the TV show idea he has that Jack wants to put through

And Tracey is working on his autobiography.

For once I really loved to see more of Kenneth on this show. His character is very adorable and greatly portrayed by Jack McBrayer.

Liz dating Hair was going so well and they had so much chemistry that I was almost disappointed when it turned out that they were cousins. But only almost because it was a great story ending

The Head and the Hair is another pretty funny episode of 30 Rock

Warning: Spoilers
Liz and Jenna are hot for two MSNBC employees that, because they don't know their names, are referred to as "The Head and the Hair", Jenna for "the Hair", Liz for...well, you know. Jack and Kenneth switch jobs for a day with Jack having to do such humiliating things like cleaning up Brian Williams' dressing room after a night out. Tracy enlists two of his writers to help write his autobiography. Liz goes to the MSNBC floor to attempt to find "the Head" but finds "the Hair" walking by who asks her for a date. She agrees but finds herself uncomfortable with the place he picks out and walks. He follows her to a convenience store where they connect somehow. The next day, Liz calls Pete to fake sickness in order to make another date with "the Hair" when Jack walks by who lets it slide. Then they go back to his apartment and get intimate before...If you haven't seen this one I won't ruin the surprise for you. The same goes with Kenneth and Tracy. Pretty hilarious, if not gut-bustingly so, episode. My favorite scene is when Joss treats Jack like dirt and Kenneth confirms that he wasn't too rough. Oh, and congratulations to Alec Baldwin for his Golden Globe win. Maybe that will pick the ratings up a bit. Don't miss the game show gag at the end!

The one where Jack works for Kenneth
MaxBorg899 October 2008
Any episode of 30 Rock that allows Jack McBrayer to have a more prominent presence is always welcome. The Head and the Hair is such a show, having one of the program's smartest premises.

You see, there's a "Bottoms-Up" thing that's part of Jack's job: for one day, he'll be the NBC page, and Kenneth will get to boss him around as much as he likes. As Jack realizes he might have made a mistake, more hilarity ensues when Tracy remembers his autobiography is due in a few days and enlists the help of two writers. And as for the incident that inspired the episode's title, that would have to do with Liz and Jenna running into two cute guys whose names they don't know, therefore they are simply referred to as "the Head" and "the Hair".

Three utterly silly story lines (plus the game show gag in the last sequence), three comedic goldmines: Liz and Jenna - the usual must-see double act; Tracy - artful craziness; Jack and Kenneth - unadulterated genius, especially when the real page explains that "more than jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American art-form". Amen to that.
