By 2006 the program makers could easily portray the government having dark motives. They even have a Deputy Prime Minister keeping secrets from MI5.

Environmental terrorists have taken over the Thames Barrier and plan to blow it up. One of them is unhinged and all in for direct action.

They want the government to publish secret file called Aftermath. Harry Pearce has never heard of it. The Deputy Prime Minister denies all knowledge of it.

Adam Carter plans to confront the terrorists but Harry discovers that Adam is close to burn out. Ros plans to dupe the terrorists by convincing that Aftermath has been released.

A thrilling episode, with several people involved in betrayal. As this is the finale. Someone could always end up in a position where they might not return in the next series.

This is the first series of "Spooks" that I have watched, and I have to say: this is the best out of the whole 5th series! The acting is good, the story is very good, and the whole episode is edge-of-your-seat stuff.

A group of Environmental terrorists break into the Thames Barrier and intend to blow it up unless the British government hand over a secret file to them. The Government deny all knowledge of this file and the Spooks team have to try and stop the terrorists from detonating the explosives and causing a flood of London.

Sounds good? It is! If you are going to pick a single episode of spooks to watch, watch this one. 10/10!
