Edward tells Nora, "My heart is, and always has been, yours," a line that comes from the earlier film and not from Jane Austen's novel, Sense and Sensibility. / Olivia tells Mary she's putting Edward in her room just like Fanny tells Margaret in the earlier film but does not occur in Jane Austen's novel, Sense and Sensibility.
Nora tells Edward that she cares about him at his engagement party, moments before his fiance calls him back to the party. This is almost exactly like the scene in the earlier film when Bridget tells Mark she cares for him just as Natasha comes looking for him so they can announce their engagement.
