WARNING: Not for the squeamish
view_and_review11 June 2007
Apparently there was a "101 Things Removed from the Human Body" that I missed if I watched "101 More Things Removed from the Human Body". As morbid and disgusting as this one hour program was, it was equally captivating. If you could sit through "Faces of Death", then you can easily sit through this one.

I watch Discovery and Discovery Health channels all of the time because they have the most interesting programs. I couldn't help but watch this program out of morbid curiosity. I wanted to know the myriad of things that could 1.) go into the human body and 2.) subsequently be removed from the human body. Tree boughs, 3/4" drill bits, pipes, knives, & even maggots. Yes, a woman had a large maggot residing in her scalp. That was probably the single most nauseating item simply because it was still ALIVE. It is all the more entrancing knowing that the only reason Discovery would show 101 things removed from the human body is that all of the patients lived. I guess the show could have showed living and dead victims, but that would have been just a bit too much.

Probably The Grossest Countdown Ever(SPOILERS)
I_Am_The_Taylrus24 February 2007
Warning: Spoilers
SPOILERS

To be honest, I have never seen the first 101 Things Removed From The Human Body. It is never on, but I have seen the sequel to it, which is this. This countdown is really fun to watch, but not all of it is fun. Some of it is disturbing and gross to watch. Did I mention that is was gross to watch? I think I did. Anyway, all of this countdown is gross. There is not one thing that is not gross. This countdown also has disturbing sound effects. Most of the things in this countdown have to do with getting impaled with something.

Here is the basis of this countdown. It is not really a countdown, actually. Anyway, this is about people who survived after something is removed form their body. Those people are interviewed. Some of the things that are removed are a long pipe that impaled two people like a shush-kebab, a screw, a maggot, a marlin, or swordfish, a switchblade, a tumor, a tree branch, and a music stand, and much more. Other people are interviewed, such as doctors, the victim's relatives, and their friends.

Overall, this is a gross countdown. Some of the cases are too horrible and unbearable to watch. I mean, a boy had a switchblade stuck in his forehead, a man had a screw impaled in his eyeball, a woman had a maggot in the top of her head. This is not AFI countdown, this is a gross and disturbing countdown to watch and only people with really strong stomaches can actually make it through this documentary. Well, it is not like you will throw up watching this but maybe some people will.
