This isn't a laugh out loud piece, but it is funny to watch,Doubt, popping in and out trying to distract,Brian, and make him self conscious. All the acting in this film is solid and the chemistry between characters is good. The dialogue is very simple, but somehow the actors make it work. It did win the Best Short Film Award at the 168 Hour Film Festival, and also appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in the short film corner section. So I guess a lot of people have taken to it. The score made the film feel like an industrial training video for entrepreneurs instead of a strong story of a young man pursuing his dreams against all odds.

great concept, rough camera shots at times

The storyline was a great idea. I felt some of the scenes were shot and edited poorly. The execution all around made it exciting to see if the lead "Brian" would prevail. The one highlight was the acting style of Karnell Matthews (portraying Brian). He is the center force driving this film. He is very natural in his reactions to his alter ego "Doubt". The script could have been tightened up in some places. During a phone scene, I would have preferred to see the actor with dialogue shown on screen instead of the actor listening shown on screen. Overall, it was a fun tale about overcoming your fears. The scenes between the two leads were very humorous at times. I was glad to see "Brian" defeat his "Doubt" in the end.
