YOUNG LOVERS, an Asian youth melodrama, with Erh Tung—Sheng and Yu An—An, tells the story of Chiu Junming, a student, and his girlfriend Fang Lanjin, who form a couple of doomed lovers, because her family is wealthier and will not accept Junming, and also because of the fatality who brings to murder first Junming's brother, then Lanjin and Junming himself.
Junming comes from a poor background, his old father is very ill and his brother works to sustain the whole family. Junming's brother commits a murder and is jailed; the father dies in hospital. Junming begins work in a restaurant, there he meets a young _courtisane, the stylish and nice Yili, who hires him as a chauffeur and takes him to live at her house.
Lanjin searches for Junming, and, helped by a bum, she finds him; the bum tries to take advantage of the sad babe who just saw Junming with Yili. Lanjin cries for help, Junming rescues her and then leaves with Lanjin. For a while, they will live on an island, at Junming's relatives, till the police find them. The two live in chastity, imposed, of course, by Lanjin, otherwise Junming would be able and willing.
After the police separate them and bring them back to town, Junming goes back to Yili, who's as hot as ever; he has sex with her, but otherwise treats her badly, rudely.
The score is touching, with a beautiful song. There are a couple of fights I this flick—Junming punching various aggressors. Those in need of a sexy melodrama (--a slightly sexy melodrama--) will enjoy YOUNG LOVERS. The characters are many, and well played, the events are plenty. The wet shirt scene (Junming playing nicely with Yili) is awesome.
YOUNG LOVERS features some nudity (some strippers in a club, a beautiful high—class _courtesane, Yili, who does several nude scenes—i.e., a wet shirt scene, a couple of sex scenes—with Junming and another time with one of her many lovers, and a shower scene—when a grumpy Junming rudely leaves her severely unsatisfied ).
