This episode is pretty special. Now I know that even as a teenager Jonathan Long was an idiot. Jake time travels back to 1986 to tell his dad the truth about magical creatures because he is tired of his dad grounding him every other week for his missions. Jake steals his mother's letter (which explains the family secret) and puts it in his dad's locker. After reading the letter, Mr. Long freaks out and breaks up with mom. Things get worse when Jonathan unknowingly tells the Huntsclan about the Dragons. Jake then shows him a picture of his future family and Jonathan realizes that his love for Susan is stronger than his fear and he helps stop the Huntsclan. But, back in the future, Mr. Long assumes it was all a dream and still doesn't know.
This episode is funny (I love how it shows that Loa-Shi thinks Jake's dad is a dork). The past huntsman is very odd and I feel sorry for Jake for being punished for something his grandfather and the dragon council are forcing him to do. 9/10
