Kentucky household upset by boy's invisible playmate...
Doylenf16 October 2009
Warning: Spoilers
What strikes me as odd here, is the fact that the boy calls his playmate "Man." Yet, the mother never suspects that the playmate is not a boy of his own age--instead, she assumes it's an imaginative playmate figure that she believes every boy makes up when he's a lonely.

Actually, the "boy" is a demon--who takes form as an adult man later on in the story--so why is the mother so surprised? Cody is the boy's name. The woman's babysitter claims that he's acting strangely when the mother is away at work, using strong language and becoming a different person. To the mother's annoyance, he's always carrying on conversations with what she still believes is an invisible playmate.

Toward the story's end, when the mother gets a glimpse of "Man" and is shocked by his angry countenance, she calls upon an Indian shaman to rid the house of the demonic entity that is a full-grown man. He gives her instructions on how to do the job herself and it seems to work--at least for awhile.

Good entry in the series is well acted and fun to watch.
