I wasn't aware about the existence of this unaired pilot which has been leaked to the internet very recently.
In a similar way to South Park, The Boondocks was originally pitched for Fox with a small pilot, which was ultimately rejected.
The first thing to notice here is the art style, which seems closer to the original comic strip by Aaron McGruder. In addition to that, Huey seemed to be a bit more emotional than in the series, where he often acted like a little adult instead of a kid.
On the other side, Riley and Granddad had basically the same personality, and same goes for Uncle Ruckus.
Like in South Park case, I think this series would have been too explicit for Fox, and probably would have suffered too much censorship. And it probably would have been cancelled way too early.
Good thing Adult Swim picked the series instead while it was still on its golden age, becoming one of its most iconic series.
