This whimsical one-off episode spoofs the American Western genre, fun but hardly authentic, as signalled by the poor vernacular of "lone-handed" in the title.

Sam, Mac and Shane are arguing while Joe watches a Western show on tv (presented in black & white with of course puppet characters). He falls asleep and this episode unfolds as Joe's goofy dream.

He's the sheriff of Joesville, dealing with the notorious WIN gang, made up of Sam, Shane and Mac, who rob a bank and then plan a train robbery (certainly meant to be a Great Train Robbery). First Joe captures the gang after a gun battle in the saloon, and then they escape. He figures they'll be going after the train and takes over as the conductor.

There's a slapstick chase, with the WIN robbers driving a rickety old car -no horses in this version of a Western. Fine model work and Western backgrounds were created, and kids must have enjoyed seeing Joe take on and defeat the series' trio of adult heroes, in his fantasy.
