This isn't a favorite of mine but another good one, and one under the radar worth checking out. This is sort of a who dunnit murder mystery but with a supernatural element to it (well kind of.) Not a bad idea only problem is that it's really lame as it's not all that intriguing nor thrilling, the science in the film really doesn't compute, acting is pretty bad most or none have taken any collage acting classes.

Two of the biggest problems of the film is there is build up but no pay off which makes it almost a case of false advertising. But also the film shoots itself in the foot from the constant narration, to the answer to the mystery you can easily guess as it's waved right in front of us in the very first half of the film.

The characters in the film aren't really normal, at times I wonder if the head of that boarding house is doing some program kind of like that one from "Friday the 13th part 5: A New Beginning", in that film it was a camp to help mentally insane people to intergrate to the real world, if that's the case here that could explain a lot as to why everyone there seems rather off.

There are a lot of fun riffs good like a short they riff on called "The Selling Wizard" where we see a woman who is practically a mannequin as she acts like one. But the best riffs for me are with the movie. Really liked it when Crow states how much time the character about to be nailed has and how much she's wasting that time, much like this whole movie.

Even like it when Mike and the bots' riff on how low/no budgeted the film is and the lack of or should I say nonexistence of the quality of the acting. There are also the interrogation scenes, from one character whom is a foreign guy that is German or French, not sure as the actor does the accent badly. But from the interview with the guy I can't help but think could we just prearrest this guy now as he's another case waiting to happen. Crow says a good riff, "Arrest him for the accent." Yeah there's a reason right there.

Another who is this annoying evangelion preacher wanabe whom has obviously seen too many TV evangelion preacher shows and is clearly off his rocker as he does nothing but preach malarkey. In the words of Dade/Crash Override from "Hackers", "Yak, yak, yak, get a job!" Alright the guy does have a job as the landlady says he pays his rent though I honest have no idea what the hell he does for a career as he's never made his priesthood career take off, not hard to see why. Funny what that scientist character says that he has few friends, again not hard to see why.

But one favorite of my is this cleched chase scene where as usual the person in question/suspect always stupidly think they can get away, as if it's really going to do a lot of good. My favorite quote from Mike on that one, "The loneliness of the long-distance dweeb.", yeah for a dweeb that guy can fun.

Host segments are pretty good, an honorable mention favorite segment is when Crow and Tom are able to get some of the long-gone historical figures to call back to them on their radio show. Mike wants to seize the opportunity to ask them big questions but unfortunately he never gets a chance as they get cut off really fast once Crow and Tom answer the historical figures questions which are rather trivial that almost any fool can answer, Crow and Tom are those fools.

And the best one which is one of my favorites with Dr. Forester and Frank is when both are imitating the detectives in the film and Frank just breaks down and says all the clenched lines you see in those old detective movies or TV shows. Really like Dr. Forester's reaction when Frank suddenly starts acting crazy and Forest realizes they've now gone into a weird place.

This episode will speak to you.

My last episode for awhile

I am so glad to have the opportunity to see all these episodes of my favorite show. I thought that I had seen all of them and this would be my last one, but are still about a dozen episodes I missed. It just seemed like no matter how many episodes I saw, there were always more! Anyway, this was a great episode as always. I thought Gypsy was at some of her funniest with her fire drill in the opening. The last part with TV's Frank covered in arrows was great too.

This movie was preceded by a short called "The Spelling Wizard". It had such great lines as "You the ice cream man" followed by "Up against the wall!" and "Yes on every count" followed by "Guilty!". The movie itself was extremely boring, but still got great riffs from the characters. I think the one I laughed at the most was, "It was at this point that the case took a strange turn" followed by "The suspects all moved into my house!". A brief one was "Not much" followed by "I'm kinda dumb". This is going to the last episode I review for a fairly long time and it's been great watching my favorite show! ***1/2
