If you liked Part 1...

This is essentially a continuation of the previous episode. All about the Lorenzos preparing and having dinner with Archie and Edith. In the previous episode, the Lorenzos were offended by Archie's bigoted remarks. This episode doesn't explain why the Lorenzos forgave Archie, enough to want to have dinner with him. In any case, the comedy is good. Edith has a shining moment, when she scolds Archie for being nasty to her new friends. Gloria, in her bikini, would have caused me to like the episode, even if I hadn't liked anything else. Archie offended me when he ordered Gloria to cover up. What he said to the Lorenzos didn't offend me at all.

Better then part 1. Vincent Gardenia is so funny next to wet blanket Archie. VG blowing on the soup in the kitchen was gross. Imbecile Archie in no match for Irene's wit. Supposed to be scorching hot. But, no one is perspiring. No light goes on when the refrigerator is opened.

Frank offers to cook dinner for the Bunkers, much to Archie's chagrin.

It's a sweltering summer day and Archie does not like Edith spending so much time with Irene. Gloria dresses in a bikini and Archie tells her to put some clothes on. He also sees Mike in swimming trunks and calls him the Polack Mark Spitz (a topical joke about the recent Olympic swimming champion. The dinner scenes has many laughs as Archie reacts to vichyssoise (he complains the soup is cold) and pulls out a portable signal horn when Frank starts singing!
