The unwanted return of a legend.

Lee J Cobb comes riding into a western town called Grand Pass with little fanfare. In the town, there had been a local businessman named Olie Parker that had been killed on the road outside of town. He had been killed with a paper cartilage bullet that was fired from an old civil war type gun. It just so happens that the drifter (Cobb) has just this type of gun. The local Marshal, played by John Dehner, questions the drifter and is told that the man claims to be Frank Mackinnon, a notorious gunslinger that was thought to be dead for years. The town only claim to fame is that it was the hometown of the famous gunfighter Frank MacKinnon so the entire town is in an uproar.

The Marshal has little evidence but places the man in jail. Since Frank MacKinnon had lives in town years ago, there are a few people still around that might remember him. But with memories fading and reflexes diminishing, people are having a hard time believe that the drifter is actually the notorious Frank MacKinnon. The Marshal just may convict the drifter with little evidence all because the town wants to be remembered for the young gunslinger instead of an aging old man that is past his time.

Was very impressed with the acting and the interesting story that was produced. Lee J Cobb is excellent in this show as he brings realism to the story which keeps the audience on the edge of their seats the entire time. One of the better episodes in the entire series.
