A pair of blonde young ladies hold up a poker game in Yancy's riverboat. The gamblers are left tied up.
One of the robbed is Toby Cook (Claude Akins) fresh out of jail and not happy with Yancy. It was Yancy who sent him to jail but not after shooting Toby first.
Later even Jody Barker gets pickpocketed and he's a notorious pickpocket.
It turns out that the thefts have been organised by Elsie Tulliver who has taken in local orphans. This is her way to raise money for the kids.
Yancy Derringer takes pity on the orphans, he knew some of their parents.
However when Toby Cook presurrises Elsie for a robbery. Yancy takes an opportunity frame Toby with a photograph that was taken while he was in the act of entering the place.
It was an a preposterous story, especially Toby getting photographed with dynamite being set off to provide the flash light. Toby then has to buy the photographic plate back at an auction for charity.
