A very memorable story from a great show.

The dress of an eighteen year old girl who disappeared in 1989 is discovered after thirteen years. Joanna Gold was a high profile case, Boyd is under pressure to solve it quickly.

When I think of the early years of Waking the Dead, I think of Thin Air, this first part is a true classic, the discovery of the Mannequin is creepy and disturbing.

The involvement of the powers on high make it very different also, instead of having carte blanche to do what he likes, Boyd is under intense scrutiny.

One of the very best. 10/10
