Kathleen Freeman: Sairy Hogg
Quotes
-
Sairy Hogg : She's a corrupting influence on this whole train.
Major Seth Adams : Well, Sairy Hogg, I didn't realise you was so easily corrupted.
Sairy Hogg : I can take care of myself, Seth Adams. I'm thinking of the innocent little children we got with us. How they can be influenced by the very presence of a woman like that. How their little minds can be tainted and warped by her.
-
Sairy Hogg : Well, he knew her in a lot of places. Women like that don't stay put, they get asked to leave, like she's gonna be asked, right now.
Major Seth Adams : Now, just wait a goldarn minute, Mrs Hogg.
-
Sairy Hogg : It's because we're mothers that we ain't taking in no Indian BRAT.
Kitty Angel : Major. I'm not a mother. So, maybe I'm colourblind, but I'll take care of the baby. If you'll let me go on with the train.
[Uproar erupts]
-
Sairy Hogg : You're asking me: What's the harm in letting her stay? What about our menfolk that's unattached? And even some of them that's said their vows? I wouldn't put it past them to succumb to temptation when it's put before 'em, as no doubt it will be.
Kitty Angel : [Kitty surveys the quality and talent of the men] They're safe.
-
Sairy Hogg : You're a worthless brazen faced baggage
[Kitty issues the first accurate punch in the cat fight]
-
Sairy Hogg : He don't take his milk?
Cassie Holden : He's perfectly all right, Mrs Hogg. All children get persnickerty over their food.
Sairy Hogg : Mine don't. Unlessing they're sick. What's all them spots all over his body?
Kitty Angel : Well, I noticed them this morning. I thought it was from all the heat we've been having.
Cassie Holden : I'm sure it is. My little one used to have it. Or maybe it's diaper rash.
Sairy Hogg : Or it's measles, and, if it is, it's gonna spread.
