Terry Wilson and Frank McGrath come to town to buy 50 head of horses for the
Wagon Train and get involved in a nasty dispute between the town and the Ute
Indians who have a nearby reservation. It starts when Bill and Charlie pull three
men beating up on Henry Silva.
Silva is a special fellow, he and Terry Wilson have some history. Since that time he got a white man's education and is a lawyer. But he can't get into court because land baron Dayton Lummis and his partner gambler/gunfighter Warren Stevens own the court and Judge Carleton Young.
Silva's not without resources either with a law partner Steven Geray of whom it is said his people were the ancestors of the American Indian. A Jewish lawyer with a sense of justice and fair play.
Qualities that are also present in Terry Wilson. His payment to the Utes allow the tribe to pay the filing fees for court. But that's only the beginning.
A few familiar names in the guest cast make this Wagon Train story a good one. And one where top billed John McIntire and Robert Horton make nary an appearance.
