Den mother to the miners
bkoganbing12 February 2018
Ann Blyth who apparently liked the series made many appearances on Wagon Train in varying roles. In this story she's the proprietor of a saloon in a local mining camp and by force of personality is kind of a den mother to all the inhabitants.

But that's not her father Tudor Owen is expecting to find in a daughter. He's on his way to San Francisco to live with his brother. But he wants to stop and visit his daughter.

Terry Wilson, Frank McGrath and Denny Miller conspire with the locals to set up a front for her as a more respectable type woman. One of the locals, Jim Davis even agrees to fake being a husband.

It all ends nicely with a few rough patches in the relationship with Blyth and Owen. We even get the added treat of a song from Ann Blyth.

Reason enough to check this story out.
