A episode with charm and which shows the series maturity. While so far there has been farce, social issues lightly commented on (nothing heavy though, it remains devoted to comedy) and character-based situations, this touched on other themes which allows the cast to portray a more human and mature side when they find themselves having to care for an abandoned baby. The fact that there is a real baby on set probably contributed to this.
Having been watching the series in broadcast order from the beginning, I felt the cast are really settling in to there roles now, although Richard Sanders as 'Les Nessman' remains entertaining but rather one dimensional. It'll be interesting to see how he develops as the series goes on.
The ending was brave, not the neat wrapping-up I was expecting. Well done, WKRP.
