Weed Brownies

In a 23 minute family study we see the even uglier parts of Ricky's household life already in disrepair, like his tendency to neglect his daughter. And a dog is almost harmed, but saved. Nothing seems to go right in this episode, with 2 shootouts and one cameraman almost dying. On from the mid point of season 1, again the writers hit a stride. Instead of having to get characterizations out of the way, we can get straight to the vein from which TPB's brilliance is struck: its antics. These aforementioned moments show how dark the humor will stoop, but if you're up for the crazy ride it's a blast.

An instant classic

Definitely one of the best in the series, setting a whole new tone for the show. The plot shines a light on just how limitless the writers are, and that they are willing to take a completely immoral direction, including a child and a dog on drugs, Ricky getting shot twice on the same day. Encapsulating and engraving forever in stone the limitless chaos the show is about to become.

Absolute classic. 10/10

Shot Twice in One Day

Julian looks after his neighbor Mrs. Peterson's dog Sparky for the day. Ricky buys a pound of weed to make brownies. Julian has Ricky look after the dog while he goes to the DMV. Ricky is making brownies with Trinity when he finds a handgun in the kitchen. Trinity accidentally fires the gun and hits Ricky in the bum and Sparky gets into a tray of brownies. Julian rushes both of them to the vet, Sam Losco where he takes the bullet out and stitches him up. In return, Sam asks they go steal a boat from a barn down the road. They break in and are spotted by the owner who shoots at them and hits Ricky in the arm and the cameraman. They drive the cameraman to the hospital and Ricky back to Sam. For the second time in one day, Sam patches Ricky up. Julian brings Sparky back to Mrs. Peterson and she gives him an N.W.A. CD in return. Lucy kicks Ricky out because Trinity came home drunk.

Julian shows he cares for the people around him by visiting Mrs. Peterson and looking after Sparky for the day. He also rushed the cameraman to the hospital after he was shot and he received a voice message from him saying it's the best job he's ever had. Ricky is still trying to get on his feet by flipping the brownies he made for hydro equipment.
