Low rent Love Triangle
Seras1112315 February 2021
In a lesser, later 1st season episode, Ricky is shortly convinced he's gay and the world's most low rent love triangle forms. It's Trinity/Julian/Ricky. Except Julian doesn't love her that much, and she doesn't love Ricky. Like all Trailer Park Boy episodes in Season 1, we close with a "happy sitcom ending" with Ricky proposing to Trinity, but it clearly won't last. Not as funny because the balance of drama and comedy is off center. But it's still not bad at all.

Highlights: We find out Ricky's other preferred snack, Pepperoni

The Noble Lie
scottsetchell19 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Ricky ruins family day when the radiator in his car starts smoking. Lucy breaks up with Ricky and invites Julian to come see her. Julian goes to see Bubbles for advice. Bubbles explains a Plato theory that states it's OK to lie if it benefits the cause of the people, the noble lie. Julian goes to Lucy's and tells her Ricky was going to propose to her during family day and Lucy doesn't buy it. Julian tells Ricky he needs to get a job and ask Lucy to marry him. They go to Levi and Ricky asks for a job and it doesn't go well. They take Cory and Trevor's car and break into a house to find a ring for Lucy. They're caught and pulled over by an officer who falls for Ricky's old Jim trick. Ricky waits for Lucy and she told him he got the job. Ricky proposes and she accepts.

Julian helps Ricky find a job and a ring for Lucy. While Ricky tried to get a loan from the bank, he met a girl named Candy. Bubbles has a small but important supporting role in the first season. It's clear that he's the brightest character since Julian goes to him for advice and gains real knowledge.
