Warning: Spoilers
CONTINUING on our 2 Parter, we find some more stories being told with the crew from the TAXI Company. Waiting a whole week (not only in first run, but also in our Channel 23's reruns) we are brought back to that moment in the crew's favourite watering hole, Mario's, where the get together and Cabbie's "Show and Tell" is still in progress.

LOUIE has a tale of his going to a Stock Brokerage to learn that business; but of course it's in typical Louie DePalma fashion; loud and crudely rendered. Of all of the vignettes, me and Schultz probably liked this sketch along with Bobby's the best. They always seem to do a bang-up job with anything that happens to Louie.

WHATEVER the series, be it a sitcom or whatever, an important aspect is knowing how to end an episode. They did this very well by saving Alex's story for the finale. Having him as a night watchman in a big building turned out to be a comic tour de force for Alex; as series star Judd Hirsch went it solo for several minutes, only to be relieved by a Guest Star. We were all happily surprised to see old favourite, Al Lewis ('Grandpa Munster').

AFTER this, the gang all got the word that a buyer had been found and one by one, they all fell in line; following Louie back over to the Taxi Garage.

THE layoff period was over and so was the detour from the usual type of half hour that we all had come to expect from a TAXI Episode. Without any big deal fanfare or hoopla, the producers had given a rest and recuperation period to the Writing Staff, while at the same time gone outside the genre by doing those short sketches. Using the same characters, which are all known to their audience, made this "cheater" double episode a most enjoyable of a change of pace.

AND they didn't have to tinker with its locale, premise, characters, etc., etc………… POODLE SCHNITZ: Part 2!!
