Warning: Spoilers
The quote above is from Frankie Adams (Mary Castle) putting her boss, Railroad Detective Matt Clark (Jim Davis) on the spot for relegating her to rather unglamorous undercover work whenever they were on the trail of some notorious desperado. That was generally true, but at least she rode a horse well and could mix it up with the bad girls she came up against along the way.

If you do a quick Wikipedia search on the subject of this chapter, you won't find very much on Harry Tracy, and the episode here tells just about all there is to know. He was an outlaw in the Pacific Northwest part of the country and this show opens with him stealing a train! Tracy (Steve Brodie) and his partner Dave Merrill (Richard Avonde) are captured and sentenced to twenty years at the Oregon State Penitentiary.

To track the pair down, Davis plants a false story in a newspaper that insinuates Merrill double crossed his former partner. Believing the story, Tracy shoots and kills Merrill and is tracked by a posse formed by Davis. When the outlaw is finally cornered, he turns his gun on himself and commits suicide to avoid capture, just the way the real life Harry Tracy met his end. Here it's done off screen, which made the ending rather anti-climactic.
